Uber looks to buy Deliveroo
According to Bloomberg, Uber technologies is in early talks to buy UK tech company Deliveroo for several billion dollars. A successful offer by Uber would have to be significantly higher than Deliveroo’s current valuation, but the price of the acquisition is not known.

Facebook to stop sending staff to help political campaigns
Facebook has announced that they will no longer send employees to work at the offices of political campaigns during elections. Previously the social network giant used to offer dedicated staff to political campaigns to help them develop online advertising campaigns.

UK to set up new cyber force to combat Russia hacking threat
Due to the growing threats online, the GCHQ and the Ministry of Defence (MoD) are reportedly developing a new force to combat cyber threats online posed by Russia. A 2000 strong cyber squad will be made up of GCHQ officials, military personnel and contractors.
GitLab raises $100 million for DevOps vision
Thanks to a recent $100 million series D round of funding, GitLab is now valued at more than $100 billion. The company has plans to use this new investment to strengthen its position with DevOps and tackle everything from planning to monitoring.
