Last night, Eligo were proud to host the London Perl Mongers November meet-up at our Wimbledon offices.
Unable to find a location for their Perl Monger meet-up, we were more than happy to host, with it proving to be a great night for all!
With Perl mongers travelling from all over London including attendees from as far afield as Hackney, it was great to see such a healthy attendance. The meet-up included a wide range of talks, providing both insight and laughs! With a couple of last minute changes to the speaking roster, we were delighted to hear speakers discuss topics ranging from Open Source Security and HTTP Cookies, to Programming Taboos Illustrated, Electronics, and a feature on the newly released Perl 6!
We were delighted that our makeshift set-up from various areas of the office, including our two sofas, proved a hit, with the atmosphere a particular highlight. All Perl mongers in attendance were supportive of the speakers, with a range of interesting questions, and a great chance to catch up with other Perl mongers.
It wouldn’t have been a Perl monger event of course without a few beers, ales (as championed by tomboh), and much discussion of Perl along the way. Overall it was a fantastic evening, and we’d love to have the Perl mongers back again!
Our thanks to all the Perl mongers in attendance, with a special thanks to tomboh for his help in setting up!
See you all at the London Perl Workshop!
