Eligo IT exhibit and present at London Perl Workshop 2014
The Eligo IT team of Perl Recruiters were very proud to be a part of the London Perl Workshop again last weekend.
As you know, we love to get involved in the Perl community in which we work so closely. This year for LPW we hosted some Friday night drinks before the event, which was a great way to kick things off! We were exhibiting at the event with our trademark pink stand and I also delivered the latest in my Perl Recruitment series – “How to Stand Out as a Perl Recruiter”.
The programme of speakers and workshops at LPW was of its usual high standard with Hakim Cassimally (Osfameron) as the Keynote Speaker who provided great insight and debate around his presentation “Rewriting the Apocalypse”.
We thought the Silver Camel award that was presented to Mark Keating, in recognition of his contribution to the Perl community was well deserved and fully supported by the attendees – Well done Mark.
I was delighted to receive lots of questions and positive feedback on my ‘How to Stand out as a Perl Developer’ presentation. If you would like to have a look at the slides from the presentation or perhaps would like to receive an electronic pack with the literature we had on the stand please –

The video should also be available soon!
As always at these Perl community events we caught up with many familiar Perl faces and met lots of new people too. We enjoyed hearing what is going on in the world of Perl development, as well as offering advice on recruitment to Perl Developer job seekers and employers.
These events keep us in touch with the latest news and developments in Perl and help us continue to build our database of leading Perl Developers and Perl industry figures, which helps us reach our goal to be the best Perl recruiters in the Perl Recruitment market.
We have a dedicated specialist Perl Recruitment team of top recruiters at Eligo. If you would like to discuss any elements of my presentation I am more than willing to speak on the phone. Alternatively if you would like advice on your Perl career or perhaps finding the best people join your team, then please do not hesitate to get in touch. Rick@eligo.co.uk 020 8944 4187 @PerlRick
