Senior Project Engineer – Electrical (Data Centres)

Role Overview
This is a senior-level permanent appointment based in Lithuania (Vilnius, Kaunas, or Klaipėda) within the mission-critical sector.

As a Senior Project Electrical Design Engineer, you will lead electrical design packages from initial concept through to construction.
You will act as a primary technical lead, ensuring that high-voltage and low-voltage systems are delivered on time, within budget, and to the rigorous quality standards required by global data centre operators.

About You
  • Education: Honours Degree in Electrical Engineering. Chartered status is an advantage.
  • Experience: A minimum of 6 years of experience as a Senior Engineer, specifically focused on electrical building services design within Data Centre projects.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of electrical design techniques and engineering principles.
  • Standards: Deep familiarity with ETCI, CIBSE, IEC, BS, IS, and EN Standards.
  • Software Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office; working knowledge of AutoCAD, Dialux, Amtech, and Revit is highly advantageous.
  • Leadership: Confident in leading complex projects from concept to completion and liaising effectively with clients, architects, and project managers.
  • Communication: Fluent in English and Lithuanian, with the ability to manage project scopes and client expectations professionally.
  • Compliance: Must have the full right to work in Lithuania.
Your Day-to-Day Activities
  • Design Leadership: Lead the electrical services design for large-scale data centre facilities and other high-tech sectors.
  • Technical Specification: Design and specify electrical building services, including power distribution, lighting, and emergency systems.
  • Schematic Development: Produce detailed electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Quality Assurance: Provide fully detailed tender packages and monitor on-site installation quality until project handover.
  • Project Management: Develop project scopes, produce budgets/reports for clients, and take the lead on projects with minimal management oversight.
  • Mentorship: Act as a technical guide for junior engineering staff and BIM technicians.
  • Site Engagement: Attend site visits to ensure design compliance and troubleshoot engineering challenges during the construction phase.
Technical FocusIn this role, you will be dealing with complex power chains designed for maximum uptime ($99.999%$).

Key Systems You Will Manage:
  • MV/LV Distribution: Medium and Low Voltage switchgear and transformer sizing.
  • UPS Systems: Uninterruptible Power Supply configurations (e.g., $N 1$, $2N$, or Block Redundant).
  • Backup Generation: Integration of large-scale diesel or gas generators.
  • Earthing & Lightning Protection: Ensuring safety and equipment longevity in high-density environments.
