Electrical Technical Director | London

We’re seeking a highly experienced Electrical Technical Director to join our London office, leading the development, design, and delivery of complex engineering projects while supporting business growth and strategy.

The Role
You’ll take a senior leadership role across projects and the wider business—driving technical excellence, managing teams, and ensuring successful project delivery from concept through to completion.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading engineering design, coordination, and project delivery
  • Managing project performance, including fees, profitability, and risk
  • Working closely with clients to define requirements and build long-term relationships
  • Overseeing electrical systems design, compliance with UK standards, and QA/QC processes
  • Monitoring construction, installation, and operational testing
  • Supporting tendering and procurement of MEP contractors and equipment
  • Representing the company at technical meetings and industry events
  • Contributing to business development and sector growth
  • Mentoring and developing junior engineers
  • Supporting office and sector management activities
About You
  • Degree qualified in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Chartered Engineer status (or working towards)
  • Extensive experience in building services design across multiple sectors
  • Strong leadership and project management capability
  • Solid knowledge of UK regulations, standards, and health & safety legislation
  • Commercial awareness, including contracts, invoicing, and cost control
  • Confident communicator with strong presentation skills
  • Experience in consulting or construction environments (preferred)
  • International project experience (desirable)
