As Utilities Director, EMEA, you’ll take the lead in shaping and executing the utility infrastructure strategy across the region. Your expertise in high-voltage utility delivery, coupled with your strategic insight and commercial acumen, will enable the successful interconnection of the cutting-edge data centre projects across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
You’ll be a central figure in the development lifecycle, working hand-in-hand with stakeholders across Development, Design, Construction, Legal, Finance, and Operations. You’ll ensuring that utility access is secured early, strategically, and cost-effectively.

As Utilities Director, EMEA, you’ll take the lead in shaping and executing the utility infrastructure strategy across the region. Your expertise in high-voltage utility delivery, coupled with your strategic insight and commercial acumen, will enable the successful interconnection of the cutting-edge data centre projects across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
You’ll be a central figure in the development lifecycle, working hand-in-hand with stakeholders across Development, Design, Construction, Legal, Finance, and Operations. You’ll ensuring that utility access is secured early, strategically, and cost-effectively.
What You'll Do
- Lead utilities due diligence, negotiation, and execution for data centre developments across EMEA
- Develop and deliver infrastructure strategies and connection agreements to enable early access to power
- Build and manage relationships with utilities, developers, municipalities, and investment agencies
- Work cross-functionally to align project utility needs with business goals
- Support site acquisition by providing expert evaluation of utility viability and cost
- Represent my client in discussions with regulators, utilities, and infrastructure providers
- Translate complex utility landscapes into actionable, scalable solutions for our growth strategy
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Business, or related field
- Numerous years’ of experience working within or alongside utilities in the EMEA region
- Strong technical knowledge of HV utility connections and infrastructure
- Experience in data centres, mission-critical infrastructure, or complex industrial projects
- Proven ability to lead negotiations and manage connection agreements
- Commercial awareness of tariffs, fees, and infrastructure delivery costs
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives
- Fluent in English; fluency in an additional European language (German, Spanish, French, etc.) is a strong plus
