Contract Data Center Site Manager

Our client is a European digital infrastructure and network services group whose Data Centre Services division delivers structured cabling and passive infrastructure on major projects across mainland Europe. They urgently need a site manager who can walk onto a live project, understand where it really is inside a fortnight, and hold it to programme from there.

The job on site

Documentation and tracking that reflects reality. Toolbox talks every morning. Risk assessed and controlled in front of you. Deliveries arriving when they should and stock that adds up. Change notices tracked rather than absorbed. Project managers told what is actually happening. And hands on the tools when that is the quickest way through.

What you need

• A proven track record running data centre sites, typically built over five years or more
• Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6a copper cabling knowledge
• OM3, OM4, OM5, OS1 and OS2 fibre knowledge
• Confident with Excel, Word and Visio
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Comfortable on sites where conditions change daily and the dates do not
• Available to be based in Frankfurt for the contract, with travel to client sites across mainland Europe
• The right to work in Germany, or willingness to work through the client's assignment arrangements
• Available immediately or at short notice

German is useful on site, though the projects run in English.
