Infrastructure Engineer and System Administrator

Seeking a macOS IT expert to look after the infrastructure of this prestigious macOS-focused organisation.

As Senior Mac Engineer you will be:

-Customer focussed

-Very much a mac person

-Linux & Jamf on-prem skills

-Fully manage the server kit room of switches, VM's, storage systems and tape backups.

-Big focus on infrastructure: such as the configuration of firewalls, networking, hyper-v, Linux.

You are a proactive and technical macOS-focused System Administrator with high experience in a macOS environment.

  • Jamf Pro MDM skills are a must, with experience in setting up and configuring an on-prem Jamf Pro server (Linux/Mac)

You will be responsible for:

  • Maintenance and configuration of the server room consisting of:
  • Firewalls (Sonicwall)
  • Switches (Brocade, Ubiquiti)
  • Hyper-V Failover Clustering, SQL Failover Clustering
  • Networking configuration

Other Duties will include:

  • Supporting the business with mac desktop and laptop setup
  • Troubleshoot day to day user problems including, video conferencing, computers, printers and where applicable copiers and fax machines
  • Creating complete new user accounts as well as setting up the equipment at the workstations

  • Physical lifting and moving of IT Equipment
