Are you looking for a career in supporitng the delivery of the Covid Pandemic Response in Leicester, Leciestershire & Rutland?

Ongoing expansion of Covid Pandemic Response Team has lead to us needing to increase the number of Pandemic Support Clinicians.

Sessions are Monday to Friday 8am-8pm with some weekends working.

Pandemic Support Clinician Job - Nurse, Paramedic or Pharmacist

This role has the flexibility to work in various locations in Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland.

As a Pandemic Support Clinician you will be responsible for

 Receiving patients in a polite, understanding and efficient manner.
 To communicate the vaccination procedure, putting all involved at ease, giving clear instructions.
 Ensure that patients are treated safely and courteously, causing the minimum of distress or discomfort throughout the procedure.
 Communicate effectively with all team members in order to work effectively and efficiently.
 To work autonomously and as part of a team as necessary.
 To check patient details against any associated documentation
 Recognise contraindications and complications arising from the procedure and refer to the Senior Clinician or manager as appropriate
 To recognise an unwell patient or symptoms of anaphylaxis and act in accordance with current guidelines
 To be able to deal with distressed patients.
 Facilitating and implementing the Influenza/COVID-19 Vaccine programme.
 To read and understand the relevant Patient Group Direction, the relevant chapter in the Immunisation Green Book and understand storage and transport instructions for immunisations.
 To help maintain appropriate stocks of consumables in the immediate work area and to advise senior staff of low stocks.
 To minimise wastage of materials by appropriate stock rotation and by good phlebotomy/swabbing/vaccination technique.
 This role may require you to work across different locations.
 You may be required to have a UK driving license and access to a car that can be used for business purposes.

As a Pandemic Support Clinician you will need to have the following experience:

- Working both independently and as part of a multi-professional team

- Understandong of the Green Book
