Job Title: Finance Assistant

Location: Central Wimbledon, London SW19

The Operations and Finance team has numerous and diverse responsibilities across the Business, supporting every function of the Organisation - sales, daily operations, data, finance, compliance, technology, HR.

The Finance Assistant role is vital and central, as it ensures effective cash collection and happy customers and contractors.

As a Finance Assistant, your key responsibilities include:

Raising invoices and bills - managing the entire accounts payable and receivable ledger;

Bank reconciliations;

Credit control - ensuring invoices are paid in a timely manner - communication with our clients via email or phone and resolving any queries, as well as discussing payment timelines with them;

Performing credit checks of our clients and setting up relevant credit limits;

Completing the entire contractor pay and bill process on a weekly basis;

First point of contact for our entire contractor book, to ensure queries are resolved and payments are released on time;

Dealing with invoice discounting facility and ensuring its smooth running;

Ad hock reporting - Extracting information from our accounting package and creating reports in Excel, which are used for decision making of the Leadership Team;

Continuous improvement of internal processes and practices - your voice will be heard with any suggestions for improved workflows within the Finance function;

So what do we look for in our Finance Assistant?

Good communication skills - you will be working closely with the Sales Team, Ops and Finance and the Senior Leadership Team, as well as all our Contractors and Clients;

Attention to detail and data input accuracy;

Ability to work independently and stick to deadlines;

Previous bookkeeping and admin experience;

Exposure to the recruitment industry and Xero accounting software is desirable but not mandatory;
