"Stay out of the server room if you can't stand the heat"
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you live and breathe this mantra. You know that you're the person who's responsible for keeping a big infrastructure up and running, the guy who will get that call at 4.00am when production goes down and all the physical and mental demands that come with that level of responsibility as an Infrastructure Engineer, particularly in a large and complex enterprise environment.
This level of responsibility and demand would scare some, but not you. You demand the best from yourself and your systems, you love being that go-to guy, the "know-it-all" and you know that being an Infrastructure Engineer is the most rewarding profession in IT.
A global creative agency is looking for an Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer to join them in their offices on the edge of the West End. As an Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer you would be responsible for designing, configuring and maintaining existing and new infrastructure platforms (storage/backup/virtualisation/cloud) in a huge enterprise environment.
You will work closely with project teams, managing multiple tasks, incidents and project work ensuring documentation is accurately created and maintained.
To be considered for this demanding, fast and challenging position as an Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer you will have a strong working background gained over several years in enterprise server and storage platforms, with the following skills in particular:
- VMware ESX/vCenter (VCP desirable)
- Enterprise Storage SAN environments (EMC and Quantum desirable)
- Server platforms (Windows/Linux)
- Microsoft Azure/Other cloud hosting providers
- ISMS (ISO27001 experience desirable)
- Enterprise backup and DR technologies
- Scripting languages such as PowerShell
The key part of your role will be managing enterprise grade storage and backup, as well as being responsible for VMware cluster management, including high availability and cross cluster DR tools such as SRM.
It would benefit your application if you have any Video Post-production server and storage infrastructure knowledge and a background supporting media/production businesses using MAMs/DAMs.
Up for the challenge of Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer? Send your CV to firstname.lastname@example.org to be considered.
