2nd Line Technical Support Executive (Cross-Platform)

As the Technical Support Executive you will be providing world-class 2nd line technical software and hardware support to both internal and external users in a cross-platform environment, as part of the on-site helpdesk team within this new West London based Research and Development (R&D) unit of a successful and ambitious British multinational consumer goods company.

Your role as 2nd line Technical Support Executive will have an important function within the business, with access to the latest cutting-edge technology. As well as BAU helpdesk support, you will also be involved in project work and will have ownership of this. It is fundamental that the helpdesk team upholds and demonstrates company business values during day to day activities, effectively manage customer expectations and ensures customer satisfaction.

To be a success in this role as a 2nd line Technical Support Executive you will have at least 3 years' experience in a similar position, using diagnostic and analytical skills to identify, investigate and resolve technical software and hardware problems in a timely manner, escalating to 3rd line when required.

You will be using ZenDesk as the helpdesk system to log and track issues reported to you both by phone and email, so excellent verbal and written communication skills are imperative, along with a natural ability to develop strong rapport with all who you communicate with, internally and externally.

There is a multitude of various mechanical design programs and in-house programs you will be supporting, so a background working with similar software or electro-mechanical knowledge would be beneficial, as would be a degree in Engineering or related field.
