Eligo is proud to have worked with CV-Library for over 5 years now, providing them with Open Source talent to build their team and develop a close relationship in the process. Because of CV-Library’s continual growth, recruiting top talent for their team is an ongoing process and in order to secure open source candidates, we utilise our continual talent pipeline and extensive developer network.


The Client

As the UK’s leading independent job site attracting over 3 million unique job seekers every month, CV-Library has a stellar development team that aids them in their continuing expansion.


The Requirements 

CV-Library recently had the need of a Mid-Level Perl Developer to add to their growing team and Eligo Technology were able to fulfil this need by taking into account the challenges they face when sourcing and recruiting top Perl developer talent.


The Challenges

As CV-Library is based in Fleet, they find that their location is a continual problem and struggle to find top Perl developers located or willing to travel to the Hampshire area. Recruiting Top Perl Developer talent can be difficult as they are hard to find and are located primarily in the London area- which in turn offers higher salaries.

The outcome and beyond

Through our continual pipeline of talent, we actively sourced a successful candidate and placed a Perl Developer with CV-Library. When we first identified and screened the candidate’s C.V it was clear that they were not the usual candidate that we would put forward. However, after speaking with the candidate, identifying their needs, skills and accomplishments to date, we identified that they would be successful in the role of Perl Developer at CV-Library and become a valuable addition to their team.

In other instances, it may be the case that if the candidates C.V. did not fit the criteria, some companies will pass up on the opportunity to secure top developer talent.
