Job Function:
To be responsible for maximising the profitability of the Vendor’s product line. The Partner Manager agrees targets and overall strategy with Vendor, and then creates and drives initiatives internally with purchasing, marketing and sales to achieve agreed objectives.
Job Purpose:
To develop and maintain a Business Plan that details how objectives for the Vendor franchise will be achieved, to drive this plan through the organisation and to manage and develop the commercial relationship between the company and Vendor.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that the company achieves its profit objectives by driving initiatives through their purchasing, marketing and sales departments and to detail these objectives and initiatives in the Business Plan.
Sales Functions
· Manage proactive outbound call pipeline-building activities.
· Establish and maintain sales records and forecasts
· Provide support to sales team on any issue that is impacting on sales
· Cover inbound customer enquiries in the absence of team colleagues
· Attend customer and Vendor visits where applicable.
Purchasing Functions
· Ensure rebates and other recoverables are collected within the agreed time
· Ensure most favourable T’s&C’s between company and Vendor
Product Marketing Functions
· Contribute to developing and driving sales initiatives
· Work with the company’s marketing to develop and drive agreed vendor marketing plans
· Maintain Product Roadmaps, Product Introductions and EOLs, part-codes and descriptions on company’s product information systems.
· Become specialist in and communicate knowledge internally and externally around
· Products and Product Roadmaps of Vendor
· Competitive and complementary Products and Technology
