Sales Executive,
London
Salary £50,000 to £70,000 basic.
Industry leading Business Process Management software author, having won many prestigious accounts, is expanding London operations and seeks an exceptional sales person to help grow its reputation and dominance in the Capital Markets.
The role requires an individual with proven ability to sell complex technology solutions to new accounts, and grow the revenue base from existing accounts.
Reporting structure
The positions report to the Sales Manager.
Principal responsibilities are to:
1. Work with the Sales Manager to formulate and implement sales plans and strategies.
2. Source new clients for products and services, creating, identifying and responding to opportunities to provide products and services to the client organisation. This will include, but is not limited to, following up prospective contacts and/or sales leads identified by the Telemarketing/Sales Assistants with introductory meetings with customer representatives. Cold calling to identify new opportunities. Achieve given Sales targets.
3. Generate and progress RFIs (Requests for Information), RFPs (Requests for Proposals), ITTs (Invitations to Tender).
4. To ensure that all the resources of the company are brought to bear on solving customer problems in order to achieve the above responsibilities.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience:
This is a tough, competitive field and we are looking for established sales people. Candidates must have at least four years experience of selling complex technology solutions to major corporate, preferably within Capital Markets.
Specific experience of the Business Process Management software industry is preferable, but not a prerequisite.
We want to see:
1. Good intellect and the ability both to absorb complex information quickly and to present it clearly, both orally and in writing. HND or Degree in Computing, Marketing, Business Studies or related discipline would be very welcome as would a relevant further qualification.
2. Evidence of above average performance in the sales career to date which will have been in IT. Applications from candidates with sales experience in financial services, process automation/workflow, software tools and/or investment banking technology products/services will be particularly welcome.
3. Experience of market research (client & competitor) and of business and marketing planning and running marketing campaigns.
4. Demonstrable understanding of the market in which the company operates.
5. A high level of computer literacy with ability to use databases and office software tools.
6. Strong leadership skills.
7. Clear evidence of an ability to analyse and understand complex situations and sell solutions.
8. Clear evidence of self motivation and management ambition.
9. Good access to London with network of prospect contacts in the London area.
