Are you an XML Content Developer or Content Architect from a Publishing background? Do you come from the document-centric XML skillset (as opposed to data / messaging / transactional XML skillset)? Would you be interested in parameterising a DTD maintenance system, using XML, XSLT and XQuery? This Information Services B2B Publisher is looking for a 6 month fixed term contractor to convert their DTD maintenance system to a paramterised, fully useable one. Working in he Content Processing team, the role will require someone from a content development or architecture background. Please note this is a content development focused role, not XML in the transactional/messaging/data-heavy sense. Essentials: Publishing experience or close fit Design and maintenance of XML DTDs and XML schemas, including parameterized DTDs, previously XSLT expert with a significnat experience Ability to proactively create scripts to solve document conversion and transformation issues as they arise, along with documentation and version control. Beneficials@ XQuery knowledge as a regular user, to find, manipulate and render XML content in data stores and on file systems Omnimark MS Word: knowledge of RTF, VBA (Word macros) Python This is a superb opportunity to work with a Global Publisher, develop your content skills and gain further, invaluable contacts within the XML fraternity.
