Are you from an Institute or Industry Body? Do you have Operations experience working with Volunteers in the Publishing Industry or with Volunteers within a Not-for-Profit Industry Body, Institute or related Public Sector Body? Do you have line management experience of operations staff? Maybe from a Communications background or Operations Team Leader background? This Global Institute is looking for an Operations Team Leader to manage: 1. A range of committees, made up of industry volunteers, that develop the content for the organisations Content Publishing division. The management of these committees will involve operational logisitics, salient point taking, and minute taking as well as scheduling arrangements for volunteer members within your various committees. Issue/Conflict resolution too. 2. Line Manage 4-5 other Operations Co-Ordinators who will be managing their own committees; being a second escalation point for any conflict/issues to be resolved in the committee; supporting committee management and liaising with Product Development with developing the content for digital products. The role will sit at the front line of developing the content for commercial use, and will be key to managing the various volunteers who provide valuable input into the organisations publications. The ideal candidate will come from an Industry Body, Institute or Public Sector organisation, understands working with industry volunteers, a good operational background and line management experience, within some sort of publishing framework. Essentials: Industry Body / Institute background, maybe a different Public Sector Organisation Management of volunteers within a committee Line management of other Co-Ordinators Beneficials: Publishing experience Environmental Body or Institute (or within Environmental Sustainability) experience Standards / Standardisations experience This is a uniquely rewarding role, with various avenues in a sizeable organisation to go in several different directions. You can develop your publishing experience, or digital product development, otherwise focus on operations and operational management.
