We are looking for a Junior Conference Producer to join an expanding events team within a leading publisher in the public sector. If you have a minimum of 12 months experience in conference production / research for a well known organisation then this is an ideal opportunity to develop you career.

The role involves desk and telephone research to develop topical and relevant conference programmes; identifying and inviting speakers, creating marketing materials and promoting your conferences through our extensive database. You will then liaise with and brief speakers and manage the event on the day; in short, take full ownership and responsibility for your portfolio within a supportive team.

A challenging environment where the learning curve is steep and exhilarating, alongside structured, “on the job” training will introduce you to every aspect of event production, marketing and management. Above all you are creating programmes that will make a real difference in schools and the public services.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level with at least two years commercial experience. You will have strong critical thinking and analytical skills, the ability to grasp quickly the essentials of a new topic. You will be a confident and able communicator, comfortable with holding in depth interviews with policy makers and implementers together with persuasive negotiation and influencing skills. You will have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding events.
