Are you a Front End Web Developer? XHTML and CSS development? Worked on any high profile ecommerce or publishing websites? Commercially oriented and keen to take ownership of the products you’re working on, without third-party client involvement?
This Digital Agency has a Publishing arm which owns a top consumer money saving brand. The business is thriving and looking for a Front End Web Developer (ideally with experience but grads with an impressive portfolio will be considered) comfortable coding in XHTML and CSS with strong JavaScript skills to take a front-end lead on their portfolio of websites.
Day to day responsibilities will involve working closely with n-house product development and design teams, contributing to ongoing site usability and branding, as well as implementing and setting up conversion rate optimization and testing. This is a developer role, first and foremost, but the company encourages a broader understanding of how their work contributes to the wider success of the company and actively encourages new ideas liaising closely with the lead designer and product manager.
PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING ON YOUR CV:
A link to your portfolio of developments - SPECIFICALLY THE AREAS YOU DEVELOPED, not just a link to the larger website (unless of course you developed the whole thing from scratch)
So, to summarize, skill sets required are:
Essentials:
Proven XHTML, CSS and JavaScript development experience (familiarity with AJAX and JQuery, a bonus)
Able to convert graphic designs from PSD or Vector graphics formats to efficient and W3C standards-compliant XHTML/CSS files.
Browser/UI testing experience
Strong communication skills
Evidence of previous web projects (for a client or personal projects)
Beneficial:
PHP, Python or Django.
Building with SEO in mind.
Experience optimising designs based on Site Analytics, A/B or Multivariate testing..
Experience working within an eCommerce environment.
Landing page optimisation within a commercial context.
You will be joining a fantastic growing fraternity that own and operate all their own sites, so within your team you’ll have autonomy on the projects you work on directly contributing to the sites’ success. This is a nurturing business that organises regular team events and social activities along with an annual company holiday. Definitely an appealing prospect, be you a grad or a seasoned developer.
