It's a fascinating subject. Motivation, morale, money, they all play their part, and we're in a unique business where we have to understand how it all adds up – for our staff, candidates and clients. They all have to work together.
Don't be fooled by the constant banter in the office, everyone at Eligo is hardworking and enjoys going the extra mile to get the job done. As a company we even operate a Late Night policy where someone is on hand out of normal office hours. (This is particularly useful for candidates who can only be contacted when they're not at work.)
We always put the applicant first, making sure they are placed in the best position even if that doesn't earn us the best commission rate.
Working here is more than just a job. People who join us tend to stay with us. As do clients. Some have been relying on our people skills since we opened our doors seven years ago - maybe originally as candidates we placed and have helped move up their career ladder.
